RATSY’S STORE: never be normal

Not just a store... a destination of the unusual.

Not just a store... a destination of the unusual.

Ratsy's Store opened the summer of 2005 in the upstairs of an antique shop and in the winter of 2015... moved to my own store front in downtown Oberlin!

It all started with my desire to move from Los Angeles and buy a house in the midwest. I started selling vintage on Ebay back in 2000 and in 2005 moved to the bucolic town of Oberlin, OH. Within a few months I was approached by the owner of the now defunct Campbell House Antiques to sell my vintage wares in his shop. Once I was making enough selling through the antique store to pay all my bills, I stopped selling on Ebay.

When I found out that a cute little store front across from the Feve (beloved Oberlin restaurant) was opening up, I made my move. The rest is history.

I've expanded from just selling vintage clothing and oddities, to also selling weird socks, strange gifts, and attempting to create a destination of the unusual.

In the recent past I've become a little more crafty and have been making strange earrings and dinosaur people. My plant enthusiast boyfriend, Brian, creates exotic planters with cacti coming out of doll heads.

Never be normal. That's our motto.
